Michael J. Lavery, Boynton Beach, Florida
Michael Lavery has been an admitted attorney in Florida for thirty-five years, and established his own legal practice in Boynton Beach and Boca Raton, Florida in 1991. Mr. Lavery received his legal training at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago and was admitted to practice in Florida in November of 1979.
Prior to coming to Florida, he was active in the practice of law at the law firm of Dannen, Crane, Heyman, & Haas on LaSalle Street in Chicago while receiving his legal training. Since 1979, Mr. Lavery has been engaged in a number of business and legal positions throughout Florida including serving as general counsel of a publicly traded company, Mitel, Inc. in Boca Raton for eight years, and was previously associated with the law firm of Lavalle, Brown, Raymond & Rutherford in Boca Raton, Florida.
Mr. Lavery is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida and the Middle District of Florida, among others.
Many attorneys in the legal community in southern Palm Beach County are not litigators. Their practices focus on health care law, wills and trusts, estate planning, corporate and transactional work, real estate, and similar types of office or transactional practices. Mr. Lavery has developed a reputation as serving as litigation counsel for many of these firms who do not have their own attorneys who are capable of initially planning and executing comprehensive litigation strategies and tactics to accomplish the goals of our clients.
